Chasm Cephalopods vaguely resemble translucent floating octopus-creatures made out of thin, slightly gelatinous protoplasm. They normally possess four dangling tentacles (3’-6’ long) attached to a central cylinder. The central cylinder features three ‘eyes’ surrounding a chitonous beak and simple digestive and nervous systems. They seem to be unique to the caverns under Arden Vull. The cephalopods are capable of a form of ‘flight,’ by which they really float in the air and manipulate slight air currents. They are, however, able to produce small bursts of quick movement. Their noiseless movement makes it easy for them to sneak up on the unwary. They use their tentacles to stun prey.
